Accounting firm opens in Miramar Beach

Special to The Sun

The Bean Team, the newest accounting firm in Walton County, is set to celebrate the opening of its second location from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in Grand Boulevard in the Regus Office Lobby, 495 Grand Boulevard Suite 206 in Miramar Beach.

Complete with a ribbon cutting from the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce at noon, this grand opening event will feature lunch, donated by Jersey Mike’s, and the opportunity for guests to meet the newest bookkeeping and human resource management team to hit the Emerald Coast all while giving back to the community.

“We’re encouraging guests to bring items to help support the victims of Hurricane Michael,” said Charles Musgrove, owner of the Bean Team. “Our current community focus is going to revolve around helping rebuild our neighboring communities. In partnership with Backroads Sports Network, we are working hard to take supplies into the affected areas.”

Musgrove recommended bringing items such as personal hygiene items, household supplies, baby supplies and clothing to donate at the grand opening.

Originally based in Tallahassee, the Bean Team is a diverse group of professionals dedicated to maximizing the efficiency of clients’ accounting departments and back office functions, working together to develop innovative, and custom solutions to solve nearly any problem that arises.

This team of bean counters offers entrepreneurs a variety of services from outsourced accounting and tax preparation to HR solutions, specializing in working with businesses in the construction and hospitality industries among others.

“Charles and the Bean Team have always been there to support our strategic direction and provide the construction accounting expertise we need to comply with the bonding company requirements,” said Brett Brantley, president and owner of Dixie Paving. “The Bean Team is a big part of what makes Dixie Paving successful.”

Musgrove explained that while spending time at his second home in the area, he saw a need for a business like his, and with roots already placed in the community, it felt natural to open a second location here.

“We’re excited to get started working for the incredible entrepreneurs in this area,” said Musgrove. “We look forward to developing closer relationships with the members of this community and the many business owners that call the Emerald Coast home.”
