The worldwide simulcast, hosted by best selling author Beth Moore, provided one-of-a-kind teaching of God's Word for spiritual growth.

"What a great day in Destin," said pastor Farren Roper. "It was a wonderful way women could enjoy rich fellowship and walk away with a renewed spirit and clearer understanding of how important they are to Christ."

The event, provided to area women without cost, was in loving memory of "Honey" Thompson of Theodore, Ala., mother of First Baptist member Patti McIntosh of Destin.

"Honey" Thompson's private and personal ministry included staging hundreds of weddings, all without cost, providing everything except the bride and groom. It was her special way to witness to women on their important day.

"My mother loved the Lord and left our world a better place and touched too many hearts to ever be forgotten," McIntosh told The Log.
