MIRACLE MESSAGE: Is hell a real place?
Jesus Christ, the Lord of all creation, came to earth in the form of a man more than 2,000 years ago, teaching us about the way to heaven, preaching that all men must repent of their sins, believe on Him, and keep the commandments of God. He performed many miracles, cast out demon spirits, healed the sick, and raised the dead.
Of all that He taught and preached, there was nothing that Jesus spoke of more than a literal hell, a place of unquenchable fire, where those who would not believe and obey the things that He said would be sentenced to for eternity.
It is so sad that many preachers rarely, if ever, preach on the subject of hell. How can a preacher claiming to be speaking on behalf of Almighty God not preach and teach everything that His Word to man, the Bible, declares so plainly?
For example, let's look at what Jesus said in Matthew 10:28, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
And again, Jesus said, recorded in Luke 12:5, "But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him."
To the wicked who refuse to repent, believe the gospel, and continue to obey His Words and commandments until the end of their life,
Jesus will say to them, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41)
Concerning the seriousness of sin, and the need to repent of sin, Jesus said, "And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Matthew 5:29-30)
Jesus said, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
If a pastor is not preaching this gospel, the one that Jesus preached Himself, then do not walk, but run, from him. In this day there are many false prophets and false teachers who do not preach about the need for us to repent of our sins. There are many preachers who do not warn the people about hell. There are many preachers who do not preach and teach the dire necessity to live holy lives if we are going to make it into heaven.
But the Bible clearly states, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, sexually immoral, nor thieves, nor covetous (greedy), nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
Rev 22:14: Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Jesus said concerning this glorious city being prepared for the saints, where they shall dwell in the presence of God for ever and ever, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."(Luke 13:24)
Concerning those who refuse to heed the warnings of Jesus to repent of their sins, believe His everlasting gospel, and keep His ways, He says, "The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity (lawlessness) ; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:41-42)
Many preachers are in hell, as well as other "Christians" who have failed to believe these warnings, and keep the holy ways of God until the end. I plead with you, please do not be among them. We are living in the very last days, and all that should matter to you, Christians, is hearing Jesus say to you on the day when you stand before Him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:21)
Give your life to prayer and devotion to Christ. He will draw near to you as you draw near to Him.
Jesus warns each of us in Luke 21:36, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."
There is a heaven to gain, and a hell to shun. This life on earth is so short. Believe Jesus. Life is but a vapor.
