Jail Ministry banquet

The Good News Jail and Prison Ministry Annual Fundraising Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. April 18 at the Niceville United Methodist Church Community Life Center, 214 S. Partin Dr. The banquet directly supports the chaplain in the Okaloosa County Jail and many programs that bring the Good News to county inmates. Hear inspirational music by The Wesley Boys, life transforming testimonies from former inmates, and a ministry update from Chaplain John Lennon. The banquet is open to the public. Lisa Osteen Comes

Women of Destiny presents Lisa Osteen Comes, associate pastor at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, under the leadership of her brother, Pastor Joel Osteen, at 7 p.m. April 26 at Destiny Worship Center in Miramar Beach. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the free event.

An accomplished minister of the gospel, Comes has held several key positions at Lakewood Church, including director of ministries. Through all of her challenges and experiences, Lisa has become known as a respected ministry leader and Bible teacher. Her passion for God's Word and love for people radiate in her practical and insightful messages.
