Youth rally

An Emerald Coast Youth Rally, “Be Thou An Example,” will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 17 at Emerald Coast Baptist Church, 724 Legion Drive in Destin. Guest preacher will be Pastor Zach Pope from Statesville, N.C. Call 865-0866.

Fall Bible study

A 14-week Precept study of 1, 2, 3, John, James, and Philemon, “God’s Love Alive in You,” begins Aug. 20 at the community room by the pool at the Enclave Condos, 3655 Scenic Hwy, 98 across from Capt. Dave’s Restaurant. Women meet at 10 a.m. and men and women at 6:30 p.m.

Rosh Hashanah Ingathering 5774

Join in from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 6 at Destiny Worship Center Fellowship Hall, 122 Poinciana Blvd. in Miramar Beach, for a Biblical celebration for the entire family.  There will be lots of shofar blowing, dancing, and great teachings on the biblical feast of Rosh Hashanah and the reflection of Jesus as revealed in the Feast of God.  Traditional apples and honey reception follows the teaching.  

Simulcast with Beth Moore

Join a life-changing event with worship leader Travis Cottrell and thousands of other women around the world when the Women’s Ministry of Village Baptist Church in Destin hosts the Living Proof Live Simulcast with Beth Moore from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Sept. 14 at 101 Matthew Blvd. The event cost is $30 before Sept. 8 and $40 after. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will offer a free workshop, Social Security: Strategize to maximize, from 9-11 a.m. Sept. 14 at Grace Lutheran Church, 4325 Commons Drive in Destin. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

Beach worship

Destin United Methodist Church's weekly beach worship will begin Memorial Day weekend and run throughout the summer. The service begins at 7:30 a.m. on the beach at Henderson Beach State Park and continues throughout the summer. All are welcome to attend.

The Gathering

The Gathering at Sandestin, a non-denominational Christian worship service, meets weekly at 10 a.m. in the Terrace Room of the Linkside Conference Center in the Sandestin Resort. David Seering, worship leader, and Billy Gray, pastor, lead the service.

Seering is a local entertainer who has performed for the military, three presidents, and a multitude of recording stars, not to mention many local events and charities. Gray is head of Billy Gray Ministries, a global missionary group that brings the Word of Christ. More information can be found at

Upper Room Morning Worship

Gather in the “upper room” upstairs at Marlin Grill in The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort at 9 a.m. each Sunday for an interdenominational morning service of teaching, praise and worship. Dress casual. Call 543-4382.
