MIRACLE MESSAGE: Perilous times are here

We are definitely living in the “perilous times” that the Bible assures us would come in the last days. Not only are we living in the last days, but in the very last seconds of time, as we know it.

Men are lovers of themselves. Check. The love of many toward God and others has waxed cold. Check. It is as it was in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. Check. Laws designed for our safety by God and instituted by godly people are rapidly being changed to ones that cause much harm to mankind as a whole. Check.

Our own president, Barack Obama, made this comment concerning his commendation of abortion, killing unborn human beings:

“I’ve got two daughters, nine years old and six years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at the age of 16.”

He believes babies are punishments. What kind of “morals and values” is he talking about?

He has also stated openly many times that those committing the sin of homosexuality, which the Bible expressly calls an abomination to God, should be able to get married, as a man and woman were created to do. Yes — the days of Sodom and Gomorrah are here. Growing up, I would have never imagined that there would be, in my lifetime at least, a show called “The Modern Family,” starring two sodomites “raising children” and acting as a man and wife, airing on primetime television.

You say, “Pastor Isaac, do you hate those committing the sin of homosexuality?” No. Neither do I hate adulterers or thieves or liars or drunkards. I have a great love for all sinners and want to see them, with all of my heart, repent of their sin and get right with God by way of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. But if we truly love them, we must tell them that they must repent of their sins, receive Jesus Christ and follow after righteousness and purity.

What grieves me is when our society is so blinded that we no longer know the difference between right and wrong. This can only mean one thing for those in such a ignorant state — their consciences are near, if not already, being “seared with a hot-iron” as the Word of God terms it.

I will be the first to tell you that I committed many, many sins in my life. But as I practiced those many sins, I knew in my heart that what I was doing was wrong. Even as a sinner I knew that the things I was doing were deserving of punishment, because God had given me a conscience.

The thing is that we have all sinned. That is why Jesus died for us. But the reason that these times have become so “perilous” is because so many are beyond being able to see that God's laws are for our protection, for our own good, because he loves us so much. The breaking and casting behind us of those godly laws and principles set forth for us both in the Word of God, the Holy Bible, and in our God-given consciences can only bring our demise and destruction.

Our only hope is to stop calling “evil, good and good, evil.” Let us turn back to the Lord with true repentance, with weeping, and crying, and stand again for righteousness and moral truth. Who knows if God will again have mercy upon us? Hell is enlarging herself everyday with unrepentant sinners. You and I do not have to be among them.
