Healing service
Immanuel Anglican Church will hold a healing service at 10 a.m. May 4 in the church sanctuary, 250 Indian Bayou Trail in Destin. The service will include praise and worship, healing prayer with laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil. Holy Communion will be offered during the prayer service for those who wish to receive it.
Friends and members of Immanuel have witnessed several miracles of healing and look forward to seeing what the Lord will do in this season. Healing services will be offered at Immanuel quarterly, throughout 2014. Everyone is welcome to come and receive from the Lord.
United in song
Two mini-concerts are planned in the near future at First Baptist Church Destin, 201 Beach Drive.
The Danny Adkinson Trio will perform during the morning service at 10:30 a.m. May 4 in the sanctuary. The group has performed for many years in the Destin and Fort Walton Beach area and is known for their Southern gospel music. The community is welcome to attend the time of worship with the trio followed by a message from pastor Dr. Farren Roper.
Catching Foxes will present a concert at 10:30 a.m. Mother’s Day, May 11, in the sanctuary. A love offering will be taken for the seven young ladies during the concert.
Catching Foxes, an all-female Christian band out of the University of Mobile, ministers to young women at various churches/conferences throughout the South. Their mission is to spark a desire for purity in Christ within the hearts of young girls.
AGLOW
Fort Walton Beach Aglow will meet at 9:30 a.m. May 8 at Marina Bay Resort, 80 Miracle Strip Parkway on Okaloosa Island. Speakers are Bernard and Lois Johnson. Call 862-4867.
Come Holy Spirit
Immanuel Anglican in Destin will host a new time with the Holy Spirit from 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 27 in the sanctuary with informal teachings and sharing on the release of the Spirit.Bring a dish to share for dinner and fellowship at 5:30 p.m. Childcare provided. Call 837-6324.
Beach worship
Destin United Methodist Church's weekly beach worship will begin Memorial Day weekend and run throughout the summer. The service begins at 7:30 a.m. on the beach at Henderson Beach State Park and continues throughout the summer. All are welcome to attend.
The Gathering
The Gathering at Sandestin, a non-denominational Christian worship service, meets weekly at 10 a.m. in the Terrace Room of the Linkside Conference Center in the Sandestin Resort. David Seering, worship leader, and Billy Gray, pastor, lead the service.
Seering is a local entertainer who has performed for the military, three presidents, and a multitude of recording stars, not to mention many local events and charities. Gray is head of Billy Gray Ministries, a global missionary group that brings the Word of Christ. More information can be found at www.thegatheringsandestin.com.
