Terry family continues mission in Kenya

Al and Missy Terry and their teenage daughters, Victoria and Sophia, continue the work they began last September in Kenya. The focus of the mission is a humanitarian outreach of Destiny Worship Center in Miramar Beach to the 13 villages and two primary schools on the Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy in Nakura.

Recently they visited sweet little girls, who Missy says “will be even more beautiful in a few weeks when they get one of Susanne LeMay’s dresses.Three are Amanda, Naomi and Esther. I couldn't understand the others. They spoke Massai.”

Al reported they always do their outreach on and around Soysambu with staff from the Conservancy, but this time they partnered with Born Free Foundation to reach into the communities.

“Born Free shows a film about wildlife and anti-poaching efforts,” he said. “We love on people and tell them Jesus loves them.”

The Terry’s also visited a primary school, with 595 students, which borders the Nakuru National Park and did an outdoor event at a village called Elementita.

“It is very powerful to watch the Holy Spirit move in the hearts of people,” Al said.

The Terry’s delivered de-worm medicine and educated about Born Free at a new school being build by the parents a little at a time as they earn money.

“It is very dry here and they are in desperate need of a water tank,” Al said. “They are trying hard to educate their children and know God will bless them.”
