Fred Gray to speak at Church of Christ

Fred Gray, elder, former minister, civil rights pioneer, practicing attorney and former legislator, will be guest speaker at the 9 a.m. worship service Aug. 17 at Destin Church of Christ, 150 Beach Drive.

Gray was the lawyer for Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. and also attorney for The Freedom Riders, The Montgomery Bus Boycott, 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery march, and desegregation of Alabama schools.

He will speak on Learning to Live with Life’s Ups and Downs with lessons from Genesis.

Fred Gray is an elder at the Tuskegee Church of Christ.
