Students ‘Live Love’ in community

A student ministry at Destin United Methodist Church, DUMC Youth, recently spent a weekend doing what they call “Live Love,” living out the love of Christ through service.

The group cleaned up the playground for Jacob’s Ladder, helped with the Community Garden on Main Street, and delivered more than 200 water bottles to people on the beach.

“The first day we worked on projects at the church because I wanted the students to understand that you need to serve at home before you serve other places,” Caroline Hare, director of student/young adults at DUMC, said.
