DWC opens 4th campus

Special to The Log
Destiny Worship Center Panama City Beach Campus

Destiny Worship Center will open its new Panama City Beach campus Sunday, Sept. 7, with Wayne and Heidi Asprodites as the campus pastors.

The new campus, 13300 Panama City Beach Parkway, will have services at 10:45 a.m. every Sunday.

Wayne and Heidi have been married for 18 years and have four children. They both graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with degrees in architecture and elementary education respectively.

In 2003, they moved from New Orleans, La., to Destin. Having served with youth and young adults for eight years, they accepted the call to full-time ministry and joined the DWC staff in 2004 as the youth and children’s pastors.

For the last 10 years, the couple has provided oversight for the student ministries in Destin and at the satellite campuses in Freeport and Crestview. They have a passion to see families grow stronger in the Lord and the church be equipped to reach the community around them.

Destiny Worship Center began Oct. 7, 2001, with founder and lead pastors Steve and Jackie Vaggalis. It was first called Abundant Life of South Walton, but before long it took its actual name. The first service was held in a storefront with 117 people. Today, Destiny has grown to more than 1,500 families, four campuses, a school and a number of ministries that operate from the church.

Destiny is known for its welcoming environment, its emphasis on relationships, and for passionate services full of modern worship and relevant messages that can be applied to everyday life. Their vision is to help all fulfill their God-given destiny.
