Art auction and fundraiser

On April 16, Driven PR & Marketing will present a unique art auction and fundraising event, “How Great Thou Art,” from 5:30-8 p.m. at Celebration Hall on Scenic Hwy. 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. This annual event, inspired by award-winning artists, Mary Hong and Robin Cannon’s special art sessions with camp attendees, benefits local non-profit Holy Kidz Camps as it continues its mission of “Planting the seeds that God will grow.”
At this event, the cycle of giving will be completed as handmade art pieces created by the campers at this past December’s “His Greatest Gift Camp” will be auctioned off, and the funds will be used for more camp scholarships.
Since the organization’s founding in 2006, Holy Kidz Camps has been devoted to the growing and nurturing of children in a safe, fun-filled environment. The camps are held at various faith-based locations throughout the Okaloosa and Walton communities for kids when school is out of session during summer months and other holidays. Scholarships are also given out to those children who are less fortunate in the community, through generous donations, so that every child has the opportunity to experience these fun filled camps.
Holy Kidz Camps only has one major fundraiser a year and “How Great thou Art” will not disappoint. It will be a night filled with live music, beautiful art by featured artists Mary Hong and Robin Cannon, and various silent auction and raffle items such as a BOTE paddle board, spa packages, a beach bike cruiser, jewelry, condo stays and much more.
In addition, attendees will enjoy beverages and culinary treats from some of the area’s most popular restaurants and caterers, such as The Bay, Bijoux Bistro, La Playa, Crust, Valentina Fine Foods, Shakes and more.
New to this year’s event will be the opportunity for Holy Kidz Camps supporters to bid for some items online. Some of the art pieces will even have special BUY IT NOW prices. If interested in bidding online, visit www.biddingforgood.com/hgta2015. Event attendees will, however, have special access to more items on the night of “How Great Thou Art.”
Members of the community can also use this site to donate items or buy tickets, including special early bird pricing, or they can show their support through www.holykidzcamps.com.
