Football Sunday

FWB First United Methodist Church will host head football coaches Tommy Johnson from Fort Walton Beach High School and Greg Thomas from Choctawhatchee High School at the 11 a.m. New Traditions service Sept. 20 at 103 First Street SE. Both coaches will be on hand to share about their faith and how their faith has made them into the person they are today.

Attendees are encouraged to wear red for Fort Walton Beach or green for Choctawhatchee. Tailgate fellowship including food and kids activities will follow the worship service.

Destin Aglow

Embracing You Women's Retreat

Destin's Dee Chernicky will join Pastor Taffi Dollar, Beth Moore, Jordan L'Oreal, Scarlett Harrington, Monica Hill, Toya Shah and youth speaker Dana Chanel for a weekend of spiritual rejuvenation, fun, and relaxation Sept. 25-27 at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

Children ages 3 years old to 5th grade are invited to enjoy worship, games, learning about Jesus and making new friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 4 at Immanuel Anglican Church.

Youth at Immanuel Anglican provides a God-saturated, safe environment where youth can feel relaxed in worship and fellowship geared just for them. Destin United Methodist Church will have a beach service at 7:30 a.m. Sunday mornings through September at Henderson Beach Park.

Healing Rooms

Emerald Coast Healing Rooms, 215 Mountain Drive in Destin, is open for walk-in prayer ministry from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays. No appointments are necessary.

Caring Coach

Catholic Charities of NW Florida will hold a food distribution at 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at The Baker Recreation Center; at 1 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at St. Margaret’s; and at 1 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month at Resurrection Church.

An ID is required for each household. Please feel free to tell anyone you know who may be in need of food assistance or SNAP enrollment to contact our office at 244-2825 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Celebrate Recovery
