The Women’s Conference will be broadcast from the Conference Center on Temple Square at 7 p.m. Sept. 26. Inspirational talks will be given by the women leaders in the Church and by the Church Presidency. The program can be viewed on the lds.org website, BYU TV, the Mormon Channel and by satellite from all the meeting houses in the Fort Walton Beach Stake. Jail Ministry Fundraiser
The Okaloosa Chapter of Good News Jail and Prison Ministry is having its Second Annual fund raising event at Shoal River Sporting Clays and Shooting Center on Saturday, Oct. 3. Proceeds directly support the chaplain in the Okaloosa County Jail and many programs that bring the Good News to county inmates and jail correction officers.
A brand new shotgun will be given to the top two shooters. There will also be other prizes including fishing shirts, tee shirts, and ball caps. Entry fee of $100 includes 100 clays from their 12 station Sporting Clays course, 100 rounds of ammunition and a Bar-B-Q lunch.
Lunch for friends and family members is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. The field is limited to the first 72 shooters. Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required. To register call Micah Mallory at 582-4194 or Chuck Turk at 678-5827.
Children ages 3 years old to 5th grade are invited to enjoy worship, games, learning about Jesus and making new friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 4 at Immanuel Anglican Church.

Emerald Coast Healing Rooms, 215 Mountain Drive in Destin, is open for walk-in prayer ministry from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays. No appointments are necessary.

Catholic Charities of NW Florida will hold a food distribution at 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at The Baker Recreation Center; at 1 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at St. Margaret’s; and at 1 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month at Resurrection Church.
