Women’s Conference

The Women’s Conference will be broadcast from the Conference Center on Temple Square at 7 p.m. Sept. 26. Inspirational talks will be given by the women leaders in the Church and by the Church Presidency. The program can be viewed on the lds.org website, BYU TV, the Mormon Channel and by satellite from all the meeting houses in the Fort Walton Beach Stake. Pie and ice cream will be served at the local chapels. In FWB the address is 330 Lake Drive. The public is invited to attend or to view at home. Call 862-3263 for more information.

Jail Ministry Fundraiser

The Okaloosa Chapter of Good News Jail and Prison Ministry is having its Second Annual fund raising event at Shoal River Sporting Clays and Shooting Center on Saturday, Oct. 3. Proceeds directly support the chaplain in the Okaloosa County Jail and many programs that bring the Good News to county inmates and jail correction officers.

A brand new shotgun will be given to the top two shooters. There will also be other prizes including fishing shirts, tee shirts, and ball caps. Entry fee of $100 includes 100 clays from their 12 station Sporting Clays course, 100 rounds of ammunition and a Bar-B-Q lunch.

Lunch for friends and family members is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. The field is limited to the first 72 shooters. Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required. To register call Micah Mallory at 582-4194 or Chuck Turk at 678-5827.

KidzNet

Children ages 3 years old to 5th grade are invited to enjoy worship, games, learning about Jesus and making new friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 4 at Immanuel Anglican Church.

Come one Wednesday or come each week. Dinner is included. Free of charge with donations welcome to offset costs. Healing Rooms

Emerald Coast Healing Rooms, 215 Mountain Drive in Destin, is open for walk-in prayer ministry from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays. No appointments are necessary.

Caring Coach

Catholic Charities of NW Florida will hold a food distribution at 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at The Baker Recreation Center; at 1 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at St. Margaret’s; and at 1 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the month at Resurrection Church.

An ID is required for each household. Please feel free to tell anyone you know who may be in need of food assistance or SNAP enrollment to contact our office at 244-2825 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Celebrate Recovery

Overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups every Monday night at the Destin Life Center on Beach Drive. Optional $5 dinner is from 5:45-6:30 p.m.; program 6:30-8:30 p.m.; and a dessert fellowship at 8:30.
