Shine On at local women's conference

Three powerful words, “Restore, Refresh, Renew,” comprise the theme of the 2016 Shine On Women’s Conference being held at The Palms of Destin Resort & Conference Center Feb. 19 and 20. What started at the Emerald Grand in 2012 continues to grow and host hundreds of women annually.

This year will be the first year that the Conference is free and will also offer free childcare for ages six weeks and up with online registration. Dee Chernicky Ministries will provide lunch and ministry with Dr. Mary Frances Varallo on Saturday, Feb. 20, for all pastors and full time women in ministry. Separate online registration is required for the ministers' luncheon.

The founder and organizer of this transformational conference, Rev. Dee Chernicky of Dee Chernicky Ministries, describes the conference as “A place where women of all faiths and denominations will come together, for two days of revelatory and anointed teaching. Our international and local speakers come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. They bring with them spiritual insight, wisdom from great success in their businesses, and a desire to empower women to be accomplished and well equipped for their individual callings.”

Speakers for this year’s event include Dr. Mary Frances Varallo from Nashville, Tenn. Dr. Mary Frances has been a leading woman in ministry for over 28 years. She has traveled to 35 nations, speaking and holding counsel with leaders of nations and heads of state. She is a gifted minister who graciously demonstrates a depth of relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit that draws the lost and imparts a holy hunger for God’s presence. Rev. Jen Tringale ministers with a specific anointing to bring clarity and focus to the purpose of God in people’s hearts, and she heavily emphasizes how everyone can impact the culture around them through their vocational callings. She shares relevant and time-proven strategies for expanding the Kingdom of God in the real world.

Growing up very active in the local church, her path eventually led her to Rhema Bible Training Center where she graduated in 1997. She also served in the Prayer & Healing Center at Kenneth Hagin Ministries for two years.

Jen enjoys being a 30-something woman in ministry. She is originally from Florence, Ky., and now resides in Fort Worth, Texas.

Rev. Dee Chernicky, a wife, mother, author, and successful business entrepreneur, is a licensed and ordained minister through Destiny Worship Center, Miramar Beach, and a graduate of Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, Okla. She is the founder and host of the Shine On Women’s Conference and One Heart One Voice Women, a monthly women’s ministry. Her contagious passion inspires others to discover their destiny through the transforming Word of God. In her book, "Activating The Promises of God," Dee teaches you how to unlock the power of the Bible and empower your life. Her book is used both internationally and nationally including prisons, detention centers and outreach homes for women.

There will be two special workshops at this year’s Conference. Building Healthy Relationships by Valerie Peterson, and Strategies for Successful Finances by Cherie Anderson.

Valerie Peterson, a licensed mental health counselor in private practice with Destin Counseling Center in Destin, will be speaking for the third year. She specializes in women’s topics, marriage and family issues, and drug and alcohol addictions. She is an award winning writer, recognized by Parenting Publication of America specializing in psychological, educational and health topics. She has been married for 29 years and has three grown children and two grandchildren.

Cherie Anderson grew up the oldest of five children on a farm in South Dakota and moved to this area in 1980. She started her financial advisor career in 1991 and has an office currently in Destin Commons. Her goal is to help her clients invest with confidence and protect themselves from the uncertainties of life.

She has been married to her husband Randy for 25 years. They have three grown children and one grandson. She is a member of Destiny Worship Center. Her passion is sharing the gospel and teaching others how to do the same more effectively through evangelism training classes.

Worship for the conference will be led by two amazing worship leaders. Pastor Karen Longmire of Destiny Worship Center, Freeport Campus, and Nathan Worthey of Destiny Worship Center, Panama City Beach Campus.

Karen Longmire and her husband, Rob, have been in full time ministry as pastors for the past 19 years. They have a heart for people and are currently campus pastors for Destiny Worship Center Freeport in Freeport, Fla. Karen has had a heart to lead worship since she was a young girl and has been leading worship for 25 years. She currently is the worship leader at the Destiny Worship Center Freeport. She also leads worship at the monthly One Heart One Voice Women for Dee Chernicky Ministries.

From Colorado Springs, Colo., the heart and passion of Nathan Worthey is to be planted in the local church as a worship leader. In March of 2014 Nathan moved to Northwest Florida to be a worship leader for Destiny Worship Center at the Panama City Campus. His vision is to see the body of Christ unite together and worship God.

The Conference will also host special music by Tori Chiasson.

The Shine On Women’s Conference is designed to bridge denominations and bring people together. It is also designed to highlight and promote local businesses in the marketplace.
