One Heart One Voice Women

A monthly Women’s Ministry of worship and Spirit-led teaching helps women to overcome the unique challenges they face and to become women of influence and a woman of means, according to Luke 8. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 26 at The Palms of Destin Conference Center, east of Wal-Mart. Free childcare available with online registration at www.OHOVWomen.org.

Vision Church

Rick Pino, founder of Heart of David Worship Center in Austin, will minister at 7 p.m. Sept. 2 at Vision Church (Christian International) in Santa Rosa Beach. A night of worship and ministry, "First Friday Prophetic Explosion Service" is open to everyone.

Bible Study

A study on Genesis begins on Sept. 6 at the Enclave Condominium Clubhouse on Scenic Hwy. 98 in Destin. Classes meet at 10 a.m. for women and at 6:30 p.m. for men/women. Aglow/Community Lighthouse

Fort Walton Beach Aglow and Community Lighthouse will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 8 for Coffee and Greeting and 10 a.m. for service at Marina Bay Resort, 80 Miracle Strip Parkway.

The speaker will be Pastor Darlene Haynes-Scheuermann, the senior pastor of Kingdom Life Worship and Training Center and chancellor of Kingdom Life School of Ministry in Crestview.

Fall Flair

The Destin United Methodist Women will host their eighth annual Fall Flair Arts and Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 9 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 10 in the Destin Life Center at Destin United Methodist Church, 200 Beach Drive. There will be more than 60 vendor booths, a bake sale, silent auction and lunch served in the Soul Cafe. Walgreens will be giving free flu shots. Waves Girls Conference

Geared to ages 14-24, The Waves Girls Conference Oct. 14 and 15 Destin Life Center desires to see girls not only know Christ but also make waves for Him in their communities, schools, homes, and nation.

During the weekend they will cover Breaking Points in our faith, Currents that we get swept up in, and making waves for Christ in our community, home, and world. There is a free youth leader lunch on Saturday, as well as a free dessert after party for everyone on Saturday night.

Thanks to Thrivent Financial the first 150 girls get in for free. After that, tickets will be $30. Registration is now open at www.wavesgirlsconference.com.

Vendors needed for fair

St. Simon’s on the Sound Episcopal Church will hold its 42nd Annual Arts & Craft Fair Nov. 4 and 5. There are booths available for those artists and crafters who would like to participate. For application and information go to www.stsimons-fwb.org.

Proceeds from the Fair help to support many community services including Mental Health Association, Children in Crisis, Shelter House, Okaloosa AIDS Support & Informational Services, Sharing & Caring to name a few.

Food Pantry

The Anchor Church, 101 First St SE in Fort Walton Beach, has a food pantry serving the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. People 18 and over are allowed one visit per month. A valid ID is required.

Building 9 Worship

Village Baptist Church in Destin has Saturday night services in Building 9 — The Hang Out. The service will be called “Building 9 Worship @6:09. Community is welcome, especially those who must work on Sundays.

Radio Show

A live weekly call in radio show, Life Issues Real Answers, with Dee Chernicky and Valerie Peterson, airs from 11-11:30 a.m. Fridays on WPSM 91.1 FM at The Plaza, 4507 Furling Lane, Suite 206 in Destin.

Prayer Gathering

A 7:14 Initiative Prayer Gathering will be held at 7 a.m. Sundays at Grace-Gateway City Church in Mariner Plaza, 218 Eglin Parkway NE in Fort Walton Beach. Everyone is welcome. At 7 a.m., meet and greet with coffee and pastries. At 7:14, pray to heal our land. From 7:45-8:30 a.m., discussion on what each of us can do toward healing. Call 243-1763 for more information.
