Ecumenical Choir

Spend Christmas with the Ecumenical Choir of Walton County as they perform Light: Out of the Darkness from 2:30-4 p.m. Dec. 4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 137 Moll Drive in Santa Rosa Beach. Refreshment and fellowship after each presentation. Bring an in-date canned item to share with neighbors in need. A love offering will be taken for local outreach programs.

Destin Aglow

Join women and men from across the area as Destin Aglow hosts guest speaker Jeanette Strauss in a prayer initiative to transform our region from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 12 at The Tabernacle of His Presence, 814 Forest St. in Destin. For more information, email Dodygriffith@gmail.com

Caroling

Celebrate the Christmas season this year by joining Grace Lutheran Church Destin for Christmas caroling beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 15. The carolers will visit a few homebound members as well as the residents of Destin Health and Rehab.

After caroling, the group will gather for hot cocoa, coffee, and freshly baked Christmas cookies. All ages are welcome.

Food Pantry

The Anchor Church, 101 First St SE in Fort Walton Beach, has a food pantry serving the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. People 18 and over are allowed one visit per month. A valid ID is required.

Building 9 Worship

Village Baptist Church in Destin has Saturday night services in Building 9 — The Hang Out. The service will be called “Building 9 Worship @6:09. Community is welcome, especially those who must work on Sundays.

Radio Show

A live weekly call in radio show, Life Issues Real Answers, with Dee Chernicky and Valerie Peterson, airs from 11-11:30 a.m. Fridays on WPSM 91.1 FM at The Plaza, 4507 Furling Lane, Suite 206 in Destin.

Prayer Gathering

A 7:14 Initiative Prayer Gathering will be held at 7 a.m. Sundays at Grace-Gateway City Church in Mariner Plaza, 218 Eglin Parkway NE in Fort Walton Beach. Everyone is welcome. At 7 a.m., meet and greet with coffee and pastries. At 7:14, pray to heal our land. From 7:45-8:30 a.m., discussion on what each of us can do toward healing. Call 243-1763 for more information.
