General Conference

The 187th General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. April 1. The Priesthood session will be held from 7-9 p.m.

The morning session on April 2 will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the final session from 3-5 p.m.

The General Officers of the Church will speak messages of inspiration and guidance based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

These sessions can be viewed on lds.org and the BYU Channel and at the chapels in Crestview, Del Cerro Camino; DeFuniak Springs, Lakeview Drive; Niceville, 1100 Palm Blvd.; Fort Walton Beach, 339 Lake Drive; and Sandestin, 99 North Geronimo St. in Miramar Beach.

Resurrection Run

Village Baptist Church's 14th annual Resurrection Run, which features a 5K walk and 5K and 10K runs, will be held at 8 a.m. April 8. The annual run benefits missions at Village Baptist both here at home and internationally with focus being water projects in North Africa. Emerald Coast Regional Seder

The Passover Seder is a meal that celebrates the deliverance of Israel from Egypt more than 3,500 years ago. Internationally known worship leader Paul Wilbur will lead the evening’s worship. The event starts at 6 p.m. April 10 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center on Okaloosa Island. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at ecregionalseder.com. Destin United Methodist Church

DUMC will hold Journey to the Cross from 12-9 p.m. April 13 and 14 in the Destin Life Center along with the Upper Room Communion Experience.

Easter Services DUMC

Destin United Methodist Church will have a Sunrise Beach Service at 6 a.m. Easter Sunday at Henderson Beach State Park.

Another Beach Worship Service will be held at 7:30 a.m. at the Crab Trap in Destin.

Services will be held in the Destin Life Center at the church at 9 and 11 a.m.
