Debbie Link opened her new liquor store, Liquor Fast, at 34880 Emerald Coast Parkway in Destin on Sept. 5. Her hope for the store is that it will provide convenience for those wanting to purchase from what she describes is “kind of a more upscale convenience liquor store.”

At Destin’s Liquor Fast, purchasing alcohol, mixers and snacks is as easy as driving through a pick-up lane and being of legal drinking age.

“It’s all about convenience and not having to get out of the car,” said owner of Liquor Fast, Debbie Link. The 1,500-square-foot circular building located at 34880 Emerald Coast Parkway, in the same plaza as Hurricane Lanes and Club LA in Destin, is packed with bottled merchandise and then some. The store, which opened on Wednesday, Sept. 5, is located on the bottom floor of the building. Link said that almost all of the workers she employs at the liquor store also bartend and work for her at Club LA. Therefore, they are quite knowledgeable on their beers and liquors. The location doubles as both a drive-through convenience store and a walk-in store. Liquor Fast’s display cases are neatly lined with rows of Bacardi, DeKuyper, and 17 different flavors of Pinnacle vodka. Some wines are also sold. It also houses shelves with different flavored chips, and tubs full of pretzel bags, salted peanuts and crackers. Liquor Fast carries a variety of mixers as well as margarita and strawberry mixer buckets, plastic shot glasses, straws, sword picks for cocktails, and more. “We sell fresh limes and lemons, too,” said Link. “Everything you want to mix the drink.” Pint-sized bottles of liquor are also available, as what Link said “seems to be the big drive-through grabs.” Bags of ice are on the menu as well. Troy Massey who is the manager of Liquor Fast describes the store as “quick, convenient, no hassles, no frills.” “It’s kind of a more upscale convenience liquor store,” Link said. Liquor Fast also offers call-ahead ordering as well as special ordering of products. “I think our audience is going to be the people that know what they want,” said Link. The store is open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the lobby is closed for the final hour of operation. Hours will be adjusted during the holiday and summer seasons. For more information, contact 850-460-2001 or visit the Liquor Fast Facebook page. Massey said that their goal is “to provide a fast, friendly service liquor store — get what you need and be out of here in two to three minutes."
