Lisa Jimenez, an international speaker, best-selling author and success coach, will give a presentation on conquering fear at the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 23 from 6-8 p.m.

If you want to learn how to conquer fears on topics ranging from your career to your love life, then Lisa Jimenez’s presentation is a must see.

On Oct. 23, Lisa Jimenez will give a presentation on “Conquering Fear … How to Retrain the Brain to Live Your Best Life” at the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce from 6-8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Chamber is located at 4484 Legendary Dr. Ste. A in Destin. The event is sponsored by LifeShotz.

Jimenez is an international speaker, best-selling author and success coach. Her website describes what she does as “breakthrough strategies to win.”

“It’s such an exciting conversation — really a conversation about neurology and how the brain is wired and how we can retrain the brain,” said Jimenez.

This will be Jimenez’s first time speaking in Destin, as she does most of her speaking in places like Europe, Canada and Asia.

Jimenez was brought to the area by her friend Colleen Riddle, who lives in Santa Rosa Beach. Riddle is trying to grow her local business with LifeShotz and is using Jimenez’s speaking techniques to aid in the process.

“LifeShotz is the most potent, all natural nutrition drink on the planet,” said Riddle, who is a full-time brand rep with LifeShotz, a brand based in Idaho. “When I was introduced to LifeShotz in 2010, I knew it was the missing piece to expand my life purpose and financial freedom plan.”

Jimenez’s goal for her audience is “to adopt new and empowering beliefs around success and money and contribution and leadership, so that they’re no longer sabotaging themselves or no longer having fear about starting their own business or taking their business to the next level.”

Jimenez has been leading presentations for 21 years.

“How is the brain wired? A lot of times it’s by lack and limitation,” said Jimenez.

She elaborated by adding that most peoples’ brains are wired by fear — fear of money, success, leadership, etc.

“I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to share this message with the people of Destin and the surrounding areas,” said Jimenez. “They will radically transform their lives with this conversation.”

Before becoming a speaker, Jimenez worked in education. “I was a second grade school teacher and I took on second graders who were labeled illiterate and I literally transformed them into readers,” she said. “It was amazing, and how I did that was I retrained their brain.”

Jimenez said that word of her powerful ways was spread through case studies heard by the business world. She began getting hired 20 years ago by business leaders asking her to come work with their sales force to achieve better results.

Jimenez has also had four books published, two of which are best sellers.

Her first best seller was published in its first edition in 2007, and is titled “Conquer Fear!” It has sold a quarter million copies and is available in nine languages all over the world. “Don’t Mess With The Princess!” was published in 2009 and is a book for entrepreneurial women on how to make it in a “man’s world.”

When Jimenez isn’t working with clients or presenting speeches, you can find her scuba diving, logging airtime training for her pilot’s license, reading, running or hiking at her home in Delray Beach or Newport Beach, Calif.

As someone who helps others and gives them advice on life, the best advice that Jimenez said she’s ever been given was from her mother, Helen Kelly, in which she said to her “Lisa, you are divinely guided.“

“I’m called for big things,” Jimenez added.
