Sheriff's office investigating two business burglaries

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two business burglaries in close proximity to each other that took place Monday evening in Destin.

The first happened around 7 p.m. at the Half Hitch Bait and Tackle store, 621 Harbor Boulevard, then the second occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the Napa Auto Parts store, 519 Mountain Drive.

In both instances, someone smashed a glass door to gain entry to the stores, and then targeted cash drawers.

Business owners say it appears nothing of value was taken.
