Sandwich shops shuttered

The Quiznos Subs franchise in the 4400 block of E. Commons Drive has closed. It is one of at least two other local Quiznos sandwich shops to go out of business recently. According to the corporate website, the sandwich shops at Grand Boulevard, Niceville and Fort Walton Beach are closed. The franchises in Crestview and Northwest Florida Regional Airport remain open. Representatives of Quiznos corporate office did not return phone calls. An analysis on Forbes’ website listed Quiznos as one of the “10 big chains that are closing restaurants” nationwide. They reported that in 2011, 334 Quiznos stores were closed.
