Fall into fun at Destin harbor

In addition to some of the best sunsets of the year, there will be fireworks, food and fun this fall at Destin’s HarborWalk Village. Here is just some of what is going on in the coming days:
Sept. 26
A Patriots Salute and fireworks celebration
Sponsored by Ramey Air Force Base Alumni, all active, retired military and their families are invited to join in this special reunion. Enjoy fireworks, free family fun a celebration of our military community. For more information contact rameyreunion@gmail.com.
The order of events follows:
6-10 p.m. — Military discounts and specials at participating HarborWalk Village merchants
6:30 p.m. — Eglin Honor Guard Presentation of Colors & National Anthem
6:45 p.m. — Military Recognition
7 p.m. — Clinch 46 on the main stage
7:30 p.m. — Al Alvarado performs at Crab Island Cantina
8:30 p.m. — Fireworks over the Destin harbor
9 p.m. — Fallen Heroes Lantern Release over the Destin harbor
Sept. 28
Kid's Wagon Parade - 1 p.m.
AJ's Annual Wagon Parade will be rolling down the Destin harbor boardwalk with creative wheels in all sizes. Free activities and fun for kids and prizes. Register in advance or day of the event. After judging at 1 p.m., the parade will begin at AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar and make its way along the harbor toward HarborWalk Village main stage. Parade entrants will be recognized for their creations and each wagon will receive a prize. Awards will be given for best of show, best theme, and most creative, in addition to the "Wow Award," which is given to the wagon that makes the judges say "Wow!" Sept. 28
Harvest America Celebration & Francesca Battistelli Concert at 6 p.m.
Harvest America Concert 2013 is a live streaming national event featuring live entertainment on the HarborWalk Village main stage by Shake the City who will open for the Grammy Award winner for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance, Francesca Battistelli. This event is free and open to the public. Harvest America is hundreds of churches banding together to proclaim the gospel live, simultaneously, in over 1,200 host locations nationwide. Destin Seafood Festival
The 35th Annual Destin Seafood Festival will take place along the Destin harbor boardwalk featuring fresh local seafood, live music, artists, and more. The fun kicks off on Friday, followed by a full weekend of entertainment on both the HarborWalk Village main stage and the Destin City Stage. Enjoy local and regional art vendors, artists, and delicious fresh food from our area. Three days, 4 stages, hundreds of artists, dozens of delicious food choices and some amazing local musical talent! Free to the public.

There will also be daily shows on the West Village Stageof the Emerald Coast Theater Company's Pirate Pete and the Missing Fisherman, an interactive performance.

Margaritaville Destin, 2014 Talent Search
The new Margaritaville at HarborWalk Village will open in late 2013. The talent and entertainment team will be holding auditions for bands, duos, and solo acoustic performers on Oct. 13-15. Send submissions to destinlivemusic@margaritaville.com with your contact information, sample music and playlist to be considered. All talent/acts must be able to perform live on HarborWalk Village main stage and interact with audience during auditions to be considered.
