OKALOOSA ISLAND — Two men were taken to an area hospital in critical condition after a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 98.
Lee R. Morris, 72, of Hot Springs, Ark., was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 98 near the sea wall from the south side of the highway around 8 p.m. when he failed to see a vehicle driving in the inside lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol press release.
The front of 34-year-old Destin resident Tyler Madison’s 1999 Ford work van hit the driver’s side of Morris’ 2012 Chevy Equinox, the release said.
