Some floating SEC Football is coming to the Destin Harbor.

After the success of their Dive-In Movie event in August, Legendary Marine has announced it will once again set up a big screen on the Boogies Watersports barge in the harbor. This time, they will show the Alabama at Kentucky football game Oct. 12. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Director of marketing Wanda Kenton Smith said Legendary Marine is encouraging boaters to arrive about 5 p.m. to tailgate before the game starts.

The game will be broadcast on a 23-foot, inflatable projection screen atop the barge. Viewers will be able to hear the broadcast from concert-quality speakers located on the barge.

"We invite the entire boating community to come out on their boats for the game, bring your family and friends, and enjoy a fun and what is sure to be a memorable night under the stars," Kenton Smith wrote in a press release, noting that Legnedary has teamed up with a “major production company” who handles all the event licensing.

Mojo Sportswear Company, Elite Jeeps Inc. and Boshamps will sponsor the event. Boogies Watersports will have food and beverage for sale.

Further sponsorship opportunities are still available, including chances to advertise before and after the game, and during halftime. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, contact Legendary Marine sales consultant Bill McKissick at 337-8300 or by email at
