Destin man critically injured in rollover wreck on 98

A Destin man was taken to the hospital in critical condition Thursday after a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Mohawk Trail in Santa Rosa County.

Roger Golden, who is 44, was taken to Baptist Hospital in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol media release.

Golden was driving a 2012 Ford F-250 was eastbound on U.S. 98 about 3 p.m. when he lost control of his truck, for unknown reasons, the release said.

The truck rotated on the south shoulder before overturning into the trees and ejecting Golden.

Golden was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the release.
