The Destin Log
Destin artist Andy Saczynski works on a piece of mixed-media art at his booth Sunday during the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Festival of the Arts in Destin. On top of winning the People’s Choice award in 2010, one of Saczynski's paintings was selected to be on the festival posters and t-shirts. Francisco Adaro, a 35-year-old artist, originally from Buenos Aires but a recent transplant to Seagrove Beach, was selected by judges as the Best in Show at the 18th annual festival.

The background may have been different at this year's Destin Festival of the Arts, but the heart of the event rang true -- a showcase and celebtration of a thriving art community.

Talk a visual journey through the festival, which was held at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village, in this collection of photos. More than 100 artists from around the country shared their works over the weekend.
