Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle: ‘Latin-flavored’ Christmas party set for needy children

Special to The Log

United for a Good Cause Inc. will host its 2nd Annual Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle Children’s Fiesta Dec. 21 from  2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Christian Life Center of First Baptist Church at 21 First Street SE in Fort Walton Beach.  The event will be a fun-filled “Latin-flavored” party open to needy children/families regardless of race, ethnicity or creed.

Everything will be free at this party including new toys for all that attend. There will be food, games, DJs, singers, church choirs, clowns, magicians, dance contests for bikes and more.  Santa and his elves will be there too and will arrive aboard powerful Harley Davidson motorcycles courtesy of the Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) Hurricane Alley Chapter.

This year, from 2 to 3 p.m., families with special needs kids will be allowed, as a way of providing them an opportunity to enjoy the activity before the general public is allowed in.

“We are planning to host over 800 children and need the help of our generous Emerald Coast community to make it happen,” said organizer David Triana.

Monetary donations and volunteers welcomed.  The group welcomes business sponsorships, donations of new toys, clothing and gifts.  Please go to their website for information on sponsor levels at www.unitedforagoodcause.org or find them on Facebook.
