Hero Hound Dogs … K9 Facts: U.S. Customs dogs “Rocky” and “Barco” were so good at patrolling the U.S. border that Mexican drug lords put a $300,000 bounty on their heads.

Oh for Barking Out Loud … The dog known as the Basenji is the only dog in the world that cannot bark. I guess there will be no need for that dog to learn the command “Be Quiet.”

Pointers Have Found … Volunteers are needed for the American Red Cross. You can help by searching for local churches and organizations that may provide shelter or food for people during emergency conditions. No dog required to hunt down facilities that may welcome you and a pooch during dangerous weather conditions as well. Contact Trevor Sikes at trevor.sikes@redcross.org or 850-432- 7601 with any information you can dig up.

Celebrepawties at Walk The Red Carpet in Baytowne were pawsitively fun for everyone.

The Lion King … Pooch? This pooch, “Brinkley,” didn’t win the Walk the Red Carpet Pooch Parade Contest, but he surely won the popular vote by a roaring applause.

Visitors and Locals … Sit and Stay because according to The U.S. National Park Services, plastic bags, caps, bottle tops, and polystyrene foam coffee cups are often found in the stomachs of dead sea lions, dolphins, sea turtles and coastal birds. We hope you enjoy our pristine shores but please keep our beaches clean and our sea life healthy.

Tuckers Pawscript: Dog is God spelled backwards. So, was the dog created by God to protect and serve his people with unconditional love during His earthly absence?

Will Dogs be in Heaven? “God will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in heaven, and if it takes my dog being there, I believe he will be there.” —    Billy Graham
