Finding the perfect dress for an evening out, a casual outfit to stroll the beach, or a cute portrait outfit for a toddler just got easier with the new women’s and children’s clothing store, All Dressed-Up Boutique & Gifts.

Upon entering the boutique, bright colors and trendy designs speckle the room, with racks of maxi dresses, and lacey tops in the front of the store, and bows, and adorable children’s outfits in the back.

“I wanted to start with a children’s boutique, but combined it with women’s because it seems it would do better in this area,” said owner Sonya Tindle, adding that the combination has indeed improved the appeal of the store.

In addition to clothing, the boutique offers several accessories for both women and children.

“We have market totes, hats, jewelry and even some shoes,” said Tindle. “We also have kid-sized backpacks that can be monogrammed and some newborn items.”

Having just returned from the fashion market in Atlanta, Ga., Tindle said she is always surprised to see what customers buy from her selections.

“I can never guess what I customer will buy when they come in, everybody has their own style,” she said. “I’ve seen teenagers to fifty and sixty-year-old ladies coming in here, we try to have something for everyone.”

When asked what her most common feedback was for her items, Tindle said it was her affordable pricing.

“I’ve gotten more compliments on my prices,” she said. “I have nothing over $50; nothing. I wanted it fair for me and my customers.”

Tindle moved to Destin with her husband 30 years ago, and told The Log that owning her own boutique has been something she’s always wanted to do.

“We came here originally for work and opened our own construction company and have been here ever since,” she said. “But this is my own. It was something I wanted to do since ‘08 but the opportunity wasn’t there. Now that my kids are grown, I got the opportunity.”

Since opening the store just under a month ago, Tindle said business has been going well.

“I’m seeing more and more locals, everything has been so positive,” she said. “It is a passion, and I love it.”

A grand opening for the boutique is planned for July 25, with select discounts to be offered and a radio remote to help celebrate.
