The Emerald Coast Theatre Company and Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation teamed up for a production of "The Wizard of Oz," Saturday at Destin Elementary School.

About 200 guests enjoyed the show, which tells the tale of Dorothy and her dog Toto as they venture through the land of Oz, encoutering a variety of characters, such as the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow and the Wicked Witch of the West.

The ECTC's Anna Fisher directed the production.

ECTC will present “Willy Wonka Jr.” a musical theater camp based on Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Grades 5 through 9 will get the golden ticket to act, sing and dance their hearts out in this two-week musical theater production staged at Ruckel Middle School in Niceville. The camp will be offered Monday through Friday July 28 through Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A final performance will be staged on Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. ($5 donation per adult). Registration is $295 per student.
