The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has released its Destin “calls for service” for the month of July.

There were a total of 3,363 calls for service (1,600 day shift/1,763 night shift), which is an increase of 46 calls compared to the month prior.

Some of the other notable statistics show that property crimes increased slightly from 78 to 81, which includes 27 burglaries, 37 larceny-thefts, eight motor vehicle thefts, and 9 calls for criminal mischief. Burglaries and criminal mischief decreased, while larceny-thefts increased and motor vehicle thefts remained the same.

Violent crime was also down in July, with only one report of a robbery. In June, the statistics show there were three calls, all of which were aggravated assaults.
