Paul Ryan to sign book in Destin

Congressman Paul Ryan will be coming to Destin Aug. 22 to sign copies of his book, “The Way Forward: Renewing the American Idea.”

In his book, Ryan aims to challenge conventional thinking and outline his political vision for 2014 and beyond. He also argues that conservatism is essential for the future of our nation.

Beginning with an analysis of the 2012 election, the vice presidential hopeful examines the state of the Republican Party and dissects its challenges going forward.

Ryan, who is said to be mulling over a 2016 presidential bid, also highlights his personal story — from his childhood in Janesville, Wis., the youngest of four children, through his tenure in Congress.

Ryan will be at the Books-A-Million in Destin Aug. 22 at 4 p.m. The store is located at 4250 Legendary Drive, Suite D100.

The last time Ryan was in the Emerald Coast was during the presidential campaign in 2012. He stumped in Panama City on behalf of his running mate Mitt Romney.
