Janet Stein, principal at Destin Elementary School, welcomes Kelly Turner’s kindergarten class. She told the students that she was waiting for their arrival all summer, and that the school was lonely without them. She asked the class if they knew what a principal does and ideas ranged from the Pledge of Allegiance to having video cameras watching them to see whenever someone does something bad. Stein agreed to them all and reassured the students that she is in charge to make sure that they learn.
