Emmy Award-winning TV producer and renowned broadcaster join Destin Palms
Destin Palms Real Estate is thrilled to announce the addition of two new Realtors to its talented team. Michael and Leandra Lardner, property owners in Miramar Beach since 2001, have moved to the Emerald Coast full time. The Lardners have lived in Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio and New York following their television careers across the country.
Michael is a multiple Emmy award-winning television producer, who most recently was a senior vice president at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He has created reality shows, documentaries and sports channels. He is related to academy award winning screenwriter Ring Lardner, Jr.
“While attending an open house in Destiny East, we met Destin Palms' Realtor Paul Couch. His magnetic personality and enthusiasm clearly showed his passion for the real estate industry,” said Michael. “Equally impressive, were his short and long term strategies to grow the business. We are very excited to join Destin Palms Real Estate, a full-service company. The synergy of our video experience with their knowledge of the real estate landscape on the Emerald Coast is win-win combination.”
Leandra boasts an award-filled career in front of the camera and has notched her place in history as the first woman to do the television play-by-play of an NBA game and she provided the play-by-play call for the first ever televised SEC women’s basketball game between Tennessee and Auburn. Leandra is also a producer and talent coach for aspiring, and established, broadcasters.
Michael also spent several years in charge of new business development at Madison Square Garden and thus brings numerous strategic and management skills to Destin Palms. With their multiple relocations, the couple has bought and sold more than $3 million of real estate. Marketing, video production, photography and presentation are their strengths.
According to Destin Palms senior partner Paul Couch, “The Lardners bring a fresh approach to our growing business of sales, rental, management and construction. This is part of our company’s mission statement to expand our brand in the marketplace. We are utilizing their variety of experiences to help Destin Palms solidify its leadership status in the market. The importance of innovative media creation is at the forefront of real estate marketing. We brought them on board for their vast knowledge of production elements plus their creativity with video and the web. Our goal is to showcase the properties listed with us, in a new and exciting way with their expertise.”
Destin Palms partner Jessica Forrester says, "Mike and Leandra appreciate our ‘triple play’ concept with real estate, cacation rentals and property preservation and maintenance. The experience they have is going to quickly bring Destin Palms to the level we had envisioned. We invite you to stay tuned for the next exciting step!"
Like most visitors to the Emerald Coast, the Lardners became enamored with the sugar sand beaches and crystal clear water. Vacations became longer and recently they were able to commit to the area full time.
“While the beautiful beaches and the fantastic weather were attractive, it was the complete lifestyle that sold us on living here year round. We love the architecture, landscape, recreational opportunities and the friendly people that we see on a daily basis. It’s simply a great place to live,” said Leandra.
When asked why she wanted to work at Destin Palms, she added, “This company is an extension of the area. Every coworker is friendly, helpful and professional. Just witnessing the interaction with clients, I realized that I would like to be treated the way Destin Palms treats their clients.”
The Lardners are bringing their combined talents to the Destin Palms Office, located inside the Majestic Sun, B Building on 1200 Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach.
