The team from Klear Kanoo “paddled” their way along the parade route Saturday.

One could have mistaken HarborWalk Village for the Big Easy Saturday as the good times were rolling during the 7th annual Mardi Gras on the Harbor Parade.

All told, more than 10,000 people turned out to cheer on their favorite floats, catch Moon pies, beads and a variety of throws and sweet treats, according to event organizers.

With a total of 82 participants, there was no shortage of entertainment, with everything from The Village Brass Band setting the soundtrack to appearances from Miss Destin, Kira Moraca, students from the Seaside Neighborhood School and stilt walkers.

Parade entries were scored by a panel of judges and were presented with trophies by Parade King Shane Moody and Queen Suzy Nicholson Hunt from the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce.

Winners included:

1st Place: Kitty Hawk Kites

2nd Place: Emerald Coast Gator Club at Harry T’s

3rd Place: Chick-fil-A Destin

Largest Krewe: Seaside Neighborhood School

Most Spirited Krewe: Emerald Coast Parrot Heads Club at Harry T’s

Best Themed Krewe: Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park
