Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office plans DUI checkpoint

In conjunction with the city of Destin, the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is conducting a Safety DUI Checkpoint March 21 at 726 Legion Dr. in Destin from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Deputies will be checking drivers for signs of intoxication and impairment.

In 2014, 676 people died in drunken-driving-related accidents in Florida, according to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
