Mid-Bay Bridge reopens after multi-vehicle accident

The Mid-Bay Bridge has reopened after being closed this morning due to a traffic accident.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol website, both the northbound and southbound lanes, were closed as first responders worked the scene.

Initial information reported that three vehicles were involed in the wreck, according to Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Michele Nicholson. One of the vehicles rolled over, she said.

The accident took place south of the hump in the bridge. There were no injuries, according to Nicholson.

As of 10:45, the FHP website repors the roadway is now open.
