Internet down at Okaloosa County facilities

Internet at Okaloosa County facilites is down due to a lightning strike in the nothern part of the county, according to an email from Okaloosa County Public Information Officer Kathy Newby.

This includes internet and the county's water and sewer phone payment system.

"Okaloosa County is working diligently to make internet connections functional following the lightning strike this week, and apologizes for any inconvenience," Newby wrote. "Some of our internet is coming up online at this time; however, if you have difficulty contacting Okaloosa County, please be patient and we should have everyone online soon. This has impacted Water and Sewer payments; therefore, I encourage residents to check their status of any payments or make payments once a connection can be established."
