The seventh grade students of Patti Kroeger’s civics class were in for a surprise Thursday. Each student was given a pocket constitution in celebration of National Constitution Day. The booklets were gifted to the entire DMS seventh grade student body by the West Florida chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution.

“Today will be the first introduction to the constitution for my students, but they will study it for the next three weeks in depth,” said Kroeger. “We come back to the constitution throughout the year.”
