And the winners are... 29th annual Holiday on the Harbor Boat Parade hits the harbor
The harbor was a glow with the spirit of Christmas Sunday, as the 29th Holiday on the Harbor Destin Boat Parade light up the night.
Hosted by the Destin History and Fishing Museum and Margaritaville, this annual event saw 22 Christmas-themed boats show their stuff.
Mayor Mel Ponder served as the master of ceremonies for the event. Magaritaville and Justin Cavender hosted the parade judges and museum guests. Judges for the event were City Manager Greg Kisela, Captain Bill McDonald, and Judi Denard.
Trophy sponsors for the event were: AJ’s, Beachcomber, Boschamps, City of Destin, HD Photography, Infinite Laser, Kelly Plantation Fishing Club, Margaritaville, and Ships Chandler. Restaurant gift certificate award sponsors were: Boschamps, Buck’s BBQ, Brotula’s, Callahan’s, Crab Island Cantina, Dewey Destin's Harborside, Harbor Docks, and Margaritaville.
A fireworks show, sponsored by HarborWalk Village, crowned the finale of this Destin Christmas holiday event.

The Museum Director Kathy Blue, Board President Don Rogers and Parade Committee Chairman John Lefller and Terry Long would like to thank everyone that participated in helping to light up the harbor with holiday spirit and everyone that came out to join in the beautiful display.
