Residents vote for four in upcoming election
When voters take to the polls for the city's municipal election March 15, there will be 13 names on the ballot.
Destin residents will be choosing between two mayoral candidates — Scott Fischer and Jim Wood — and 11 City Council candidates — Jim Bagby, Parker Destin, Tuffy Dixon, Teresa Hebert, Cyron Marler, Steven Menchel, Mark Meyer, Chatham Morgan, Skip Overdier, Vandy Vela-Schneidt and Tom Weidenhamer.
In Destin's council race, residents will be choosing candidates for four open seats, which means they can cast a vote for a total of four candidates.
Early voting will be held March 5-12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During the early voting period a ballot can be cast at any early voting location regardless of where you live.
