The Calhoun room in the Destin Library was an array of colorful hats and fancy frocks on Friday as about 50 women met for the second annual Downton Abbey Tea.

The tea was put on by the Friend’s Guild of the Destin Library and members of the guild provided place settings, tea sets and of course scrump-tious sandwiches and scones.

During the tea, Erica Teets, owner of the Baron’s Tea shop in Crestview, gave a lecture on proper tea etiquette as well as the different ways tea is grown and produced around the world.

“Did you know that all tea is made from one plant and yet there are over 1,500 types of tea blends today?” she asked the crowd.

After the presentation, scenes from “Downton Abbey” were shown and a short quiz was passed out on the popular television series.

At the close of the tea, awards where given for the best hat, the most unusual hat and the lady who got the most quiz questions correct.
