The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County will present the 28th year of ArtsQuest this weekend, May 7 and 8, in the Town Center of Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, a Mother’s Day tradition filled with visual art, music, dance, food, beverages and fun for the whole family.

ArtsQuest is a fine arts festival that provides visitors the opportunity to view and purchase the works of over 200 fine artists from around the country, including original work by 2016 featured artist Matt Lyons, a contempo-rary artist living in Santa Rosa Beach, and Visit South Walton’s Artist of the Year Melody Bogle.

In addition to the arts exhibition, ArtsQuest caters to guests of all ages and interests, families and indi-viduals alike, offering heritage art demonstrations, a CAA member artist exhibit, a Walton County student ex-hibit, live music and entertainment, and “ImagiNation: where kids rule,” an area dedicated to crafts and play.

“Grand Boulevard’s streets will be full of original work by artists that were carefully selected to exhibit and sell at ArtsQuest,” said CAA Events & Programs Director Jennifer Smith. “There will be three stages offering on-going musical entertainment in many musical genres, including jazz, bluegrass, acoustic rock, pop and classical. We are especially proud to showcase student performances by 30A Dancewave, Ohana Records and Seaside Neighborhood School.”

Other performers include The DownBeat Jazz Orchestra, The Dharma Beats, Caravan, Chris Alvarado, The New Or-leans Ramblers, Kyle Lamonica, Schatzi & The String Boffin, Dismal Creek, Kyle Paxton, Sterling Tyler, The Steenos, and Emerald Coast Theatre Company.

On Saturday night, ArtsQuest will partner with Cantina Laredo to present a special Cinco de Mayo celebration in Grand Park featuring a dance-inspiring rockabilly performance by the Modern Eldorados, along with food, beer and margaritas available for purchase.

ArtsQuest is open to the public and a $5 admission donation is requested. A full cash bar will be available throughout the weekend in Grand Park.

ArtsQuest is sponsored by Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, Visit South Walton, Grayton Beer Company, The UPS Store Grand Boulevard, The Walton Sun, The Dugas Family Foundation and Wine World. Lodging partners include Courtyard Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard and Residence Inn Sandestin.
