After 26 years of continuous ownership and operation, Ellis Woods announced the sale of Elmo’s Grill to Brad and Amanda Josten. With their “fresh-from-the-Gulf” seafood offerings, which include all-you-can-eat crab legs, Elmo’s has developed a great reputation as a family-friendly option in South Walton County, with their “not fancy, just famous” menu and live music. See www.elmosgrill30a.com for menu and directions.

Elmo’s Grill is currently open daily for dinner only, during the spring, summer and early fall (March through October). Established in 1990, Elmo’s Grill was the third restaurant to open on County Highway 30A. It is located between Tanglewood Drive and Sunset Avenue and is the only restaurant on 30A serving gator ribs.

When Mr. Woods decided to retire, he selected Brad Josten because of his extensive restaurant management experience and plans to continue Elmo’s reputation as an outstanding dining experience. Exciting future additions will include, but are not limited to:

• Credit cards

• Free Wi-Fi

• Additional high-definition TVs with expanded sports channels

• Year-round operation

• Expanded beer selection, with eventual local beers on tap

To ensure a seamless transition, Mr. Woods has agreed to be on-site with the Jostens for the next few weeks. He was very impressed with Brad’s vision. Mr. Woods looks forward to watching the legacy of Elmo’s Grill live on and grow.

The Jostens are delighted by Mr. Woods’ selection as Elmo’s new owners. They will host an event in his honor at Elmo’s at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
