Blu Spero, a women's clothing boutique, is now open in the Destin Commons.

These days it seems there is always something new in Destin, and this month, the Destin Commons shopping center welcomed three new tenants to its vast collection of stores.

High Cotton Clothing

Locally owned and operated by best friends Colby Anderson and Luke Andrews, High Cotton Clothing will offer a selection of southern-style clothes and accessories for men, women and children.

“We’ve always liked southern clothing and there’s a huge demand for it,” Andrews said. “Every shopping center you go to in this area has it except this one, and that’s what attracted us to the Destin Commons.”

High Cotton Clothing will feature well-known brands such as Southern Tide, Lauren James, Coastal Cotton and Over Under. In addition to the clothing, Anderson and Andrews said they also want to make their shop a cool place to hang out.

“We have a seating area and a 70-inch TV for the guys to hang out while the girls shop,” Anderson said. “We want it to be a place people can come in and watch the game while waiting to eat at Uncle Buck’s.”

Anderson and Andrews are hard at work building out their flagship retail location in the Destin Commons ex-pansion near Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill, and will hold a soft opening in mid-June.

Watch Station International

In the market for a new watch? Watch Station International, a branch of Fossil, is now open in the Destin Commons.

“We have watches and Michael Kors Jewelry,” said store manager J.R. Perez. “We carry all the licensed brands that Fossil owns such as Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Armani and Michael Kors.”

Perez added that the Destin Commons location is the only Watch Station on the Panhandle with the nearest Florida store located in Orlando.

“This is a good place for us because of the close Fossil stores,” he said, noting the Fossil locations in the Sandestin Outlet Mall and in Foley, Alabama. “This is the first store in the area and I think it is one of the biggest stores we have open.”

Located along Destin Commons’ Main Street directly across from Express, Watch Station International is ready for business.

Blu Spero

Adding to the great selection of clothing stores in the Destin Commons, Blu Spero adds a new women’s boutique into the mix. The store offers casual and trendy women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories at a price that won’t break the bank.

“Our motto is to give hope to women by allowing them to express themselves through fashion,” said store man-ager Erica Godsey. “We have tops from $20 and dresses up to $60, so we are very well-priced.”

With eight locations in Florida and one in Alabama, Godsey said the brand is quickly expanding and making a name for itself.

“We are a fast-growing brand,” Godsey said. “We are also adding five new stores in Texas this summer.”

Blu Spero offers a posh atmosphere to the shopping experience with spacious floor space as well as a large dressing room and a stylish seating area.

“We have everything to fill a closet, that’s what we are going for,” said Godsey.

Blu Spero is now open in the Destin Commons expansion near Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill and will be cele-brating a grand-opening event Memorial Day with sales throughout the store.
