The Destin Library held a pint-sized costume parade for its littlest readers Wednesday morning.

From piglets to pirates, cowboys to cupcakes and everything in between, babies and toddlers showed up with their most spook-tacular Halloween costume. Some were pushed in strollers by their parents, while others wandered alongside them as they followed Will Rogers, youth services librarian, in and out of the library's shelves. They snagged treats and stuffed ghosts along the way, and parents got lots of great photo ops.

"This is our morning storytime crew," Rogers said.

The children laughed and danced as music played throughout the normally quiet library. Library director Jurate Burns said the morning was a special Halloween-themed day for all involved.

"This is our favorite annual event, in addition to the Easter egg hunt," Burns said. "Parents and grandparents just love it, and of course the kids do too."
