The Destin History & Fishing Museum will hold a special temporary exhibit from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3-5 at the museum, 108 Stahlman Ave., that honors early Destin residents and their descendants who have served in the military.

The exhibit is in honor of the annual Destin Founder’s Day that commemorates the 16 “last name” families that arrived in the area the first 100 years before the bridge was opened.

The exhibit will feature photos, stories, and items from the men and women of the early families and their descendants that served in the military from the Civil War to Vietnam.
