Casino Royale to support Opportunity Place homeless shelter

FORT WALTON BEACH — Casino Royale, an evening of fun, gaming, prizes and celebration, returns as a fundraiser for the Opportunity Place shelter for families and single women who are homeless.

There will be more gaming tables, more prizes, more cash winnings and more fun at this year's event, which is 7-10 p.m. Sept. 20 at the  Nxt Lvl Night Club, 116 Perry Ave SE, Fort Walton Beach. 

Casino Royale's speakeasy vibe will provide 14 gaming tables for attendees, with games including roulette, craps, Texas Hold 'Em or poker.  

Tickets are available at www.opifwb.org at a cost of $40 per person. The price includes entrance, $500 in gaming chips, hors d’oeuvres, a chance to win numerous prizes and the ability to bid on exciting live and silent auction lots.

A sampling of prizes and auction items include a trip to France; 50,000 frequent flyer miles, an IP Casino and Spa package, Steeler’s and Carolina Panthers tickets, limo rides, cash prizes exceeding $1,000, spa treatments, a sunset cruise, stay-cations, wine and more wine: There is something for everyone. 

Last year, OPI sheltered 217 people and helped more than 85 percent achieve self-sufficiency.
