SHALIMAR — A man is back in jail after being released from federal prison last October for narcotic trafficking offenses.

According to a press release release from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Rodney Jerome McNabb, aka Hervie Todd III, was charged Tuesday with trafficking cocaine, trafficking heroin and possession of a firearm as a felon.

The release said that the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with other local law enforcement agencies, searched his home at 893 Shalimar Court, where roughly one kilogram of heroin, two kilograms of cocaine, two firearms — one of which was stolen — and about $138,000 in drug money was confiscated.

McNabb was also served with an arrest warrant for aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, which stemmed from a traffic stop in Fort Walton Beach over the weekend, where he fled from officers.

“The ongoing vigilance, dedication and courage of these local and federal law enforcement partners is to be applauded,” Sheriff Larry Ashley said in the release. “Working as a team, their combined efforts are once again responsible for helping remove dangerous criminals, drugs, and guns, from our community.”
